West Midland Metro customers arriving at one of the network’s new tram stops have enjoyed a seasonal surprise thanks to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
At Library stop, in the heart of the city, they were treated to a medley of festive favourites performed by a brass quintet.
The stop is one of two opened last week as part of the tram extension to Centenary Square, close to the orchestra’s home at Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
The expanded tramway makes travel easier for concert goers attending performances at the venue, including the CBSO’s forthcoming Christmas concerts, presented by actor Hugh Dennis.
