With trams from every 10 minutes and discounted group travel, West Midlands Metro is planning to help locals and visitors alike to make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend.

A special holiday timetable will be in place on Monday, May 6, and the Metro’s popular £5 Group Ticket offer will be available throughout the day.

Carl Williams, West Midlands Metro Director of Operations, explained: “With fair weather forecast for the traditional May Day holiday, there couldn’t be a better time to get out and explore the West Midlands.

“Over the long weekend there’s plenty to see and do and our special holiday timetable will help ensure tram customers can make the most of the region’s many shops, restaurants, pubs, museums and other attractions.

“Beating the holiday traffic needn’t cost the earth either thanks to the Group Ticket offer and free spaces at our park and ride facilities.”

Usually available only at weekends and weekdays after 6.00pm, on Bank Holiday the great-value Group Ticket will offer a full day of unlimited tram travel for five adults, or two adults and up to four children, for just a fiver.
