Frequent festive season tram services

Festive Services title

West Midlands Metro is set to provide a comprehensive service to customers over the festive season running frequent trams through the holiday period, with the exception of Christmas Day.

On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve a normal timetable will be in operation, with the last trams leaving Wolverhampton at 00.23 and Library stop in Birmingham city centre at 00.30.

While no trams will run on Christmas Day, a Sunday service will be in operation Boxing Day (December 26), Bank Holiday Monday (December 28) and New Year’s Day (January 1). Full information can be viewed online at https://westmidlandsmetro.com/disruptions/festive-services/.

Ray Harris, West Midlands Metro Head of operations, commented: “While this Christmas will be very different from others due to Covid-19 restrictions, we remain committed to provide a frequent, robust service for those who will still rely on us to get around.

“However, we would also like to remind all customers of the importance of following guidance on safe travel, including the requirement to wear a face covering and observing safe social distancing when on board and at tram stops.”
