A new video has been launched by West Midlands Metro aimed at helping customers travel safely by tram.
Building on Metro’s excellent safety record, the new film offers practical advice and tips for keeping safe whilst on board and moving around the expanding tram network.
West Midlands Metro’s Head of Safety, Anthony Stanley, explained: “We pride ourselves in providing the safest and most comfortable environment for our customers. Our record shows we take safety issues very seriously, but that doesn’t mean we will stop trying to improve even further.”
By making customers more aware of their surroundings, the new video, which can be viewed online or on the tram information screens, provides key guidance about using the tram.
Anthony added: “Most of the advice is based on sound, common sense but there’s no substitute for continuing to support our customers in using the network safely .”
With a major expansion programme already underway, the Metro network is set to serve even more communities across the West Midlands over the coming years.
Anthony explained: “As the network grows, so will our customer base. More people will be able to experience the benefits of travelling by tram and helping them to make their journeys safely will remain our number one priority.”
