The last bank holiday before the end of summer is almost here and West Midlands Metro will again be offering some great savings over the long weekend.

On Spring Bank Holiday Monday (May 27), a special timetable will see services operate from every 10 minutes, and the popular £5 Group ticket will be available throughout the day.

Carl Williams, West Midlands Metro Director of Operations, explained: “There’s always lots to do and see in the West Midlands, but the bank holiday offers the ideal opportunity to get out and about to explore the region.

“We want to make sure tram customers are able to make the most of the break and, with frequent services over the weekend, they needn’t miss out on any of the fun.

“As well as beating the holiday traffic and avoiding the hassle of finding a parking space, tram users can also save money by using our free park and ride facilities and buying a Group Ticket.”

Offering a whole day’s tram travel for five adults, or two adults and up to four children, travelling together, the popular deal means the whole family can explore the region without breaking the bank. Usually available only at weekends and weekdays after 6.00pm, the Group Ticket has been extended to cover Bank Holiday Monday.
