Tram Ticket Holiday Offer

The Fab 5 - 5 for £5 family and friends - £5 off-peak Metro group ticket now available from 9:30am Monday to Friday during the school holidays and all day at weekends

The relaunch of a popular ticket offer is set to make off-peak trips on West Midlands Metro even more tempting for families and groups of friends looking to make the most of the summer holidays.

From today (Monday, July 23) customers can use an Off Peak Group Ticket from 9.30 in the morning, Monday to Friday, as well as all day on weekends and bank holidays.

For just a fiver, the ‘Fab Five’ deal offers a day of unlimited tram travel across the network for up to five adults, or two adults and up to four children.

Carl Williams, West Midlands Metro Director of Operations, explained: “By extending this cash-saving offer we hope even more people will discover the convenience of travelling by tram, as well as helping them to enjoy a great day out during the holidays.

“Previously the ticket was only available after 6pm on weekdays, but it’s been a very popular option for families and groups of friends set for an evening out. Now, until Sunday, September 2, they can enjoy the same great savings for most of the day.”

The offer also reflects a commitment by the new operators of the network to deliver even better value for new and existing customers as it gears up for a period of major expansion. In addition to the introduction of the original Group Tickets, customers have also seen a reduction in some single and return fares since the West Midlands Metro launch in June.

All tickets can be bought from conductors on board the tram using cash or contactless payment, and further details on fares, as well as up-to-date travel information, can be found at www.westmidlandsmetro.com.
