Bridge Demolition Works:No Tram Services between Wednesbury Parkway and Wolverhampton St George’s From Saturday 29 May until Sunday 6 June
From the start of service on Saturday 29 May until the end of service on Sunday 6 June, trams will not operate between Wednesbury Parkway and Wolverhampton St George’s. During this time, the City of Wolverhampton Council will be carrying out work to demolish Arthur Street bridge in Bilston.
While this essential work is taking place, we are committed to keeping our customers moving and the following alternative travel arrangements will be in place:
a normal service will operate between Wednesbury Parkway and Library, Birmingham
tickets and passes will be accepted on National Express bus service 79 between West Bromwich and Wolverhampton and West Midlands Railway train services between Birmingham and Wolverhampton*
On Bank Holiday Monday, 31 May, Sunday services will operate
In addition, the frequency of the National Express 79 timetable has been increased, to include the 79A which will follow a dedicated route serving the affected stops for the duration of the works.
Normal services will resume from the start of service on Monday 7 June. For up to date service information, please visit our twitter page @wmmetro. *No train service will be available between Wolverhampton and Birmingham on Sunday 6 June.
