Stay Safe. Stay Apart. Find out more about the quietest times to travel

We know that not everyone can change the time they travel, but if you do have flexibility, why not travel during our quieter times. The charts below have been designed so that you can easily see when there are fewer people travelling, to help you to avoid busy periods and make your journey more comfortable.

On average, our quietest times to travel are weekends and between 9 am and 4:30 pm or after 7 pm, on weekdays.

We update these charts regularly to ensure that you have the most recent up to date information when planning your journey.
