Work to improve step-free access at two busy tram stops in the West Midlands has now been completed with successful upgrades to lifts at Bilston Central and Lodge Road.
The lifts at both Bilston Central and Lodge Road are now fully operational again after essential work to provide a more reliable service for customers who have difficulty using the steps.
Vicki Bennett, Customer Service Manager at West Midlands Metro commented: “While the work was taking place, we introduced a wide range of measures to minimise any inconvenience, but we would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding.
“The investment in the upgrades reflects our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible service to customers and further improving access to our growing tram network.”
